Decades of innovation in system-level software development
Project s.a.s. is a small but innovative company specialized in system-level software development. Since our start in 1984, we pursued what in our mind would have been successful future trends like object-oriented programming, distributed networking, and embedded operating systems.
At a time when using a PC for important tasks was not so obvious, we considered that technology evolution would have brought in even smaller devices with comparable capabilities.

MarkDCS™
Since the late 1980s we started thinking of a new development tool for process control applications, aligned with the emerging paradigm of object-oriented programming: MarkDCS™ was born.
SMCS
When the Grand Princess was launched MarkDCS found its most successful application: the Safety Management and Control System.
Windows Embedded Partner
Project s.a.s. has been a Windows Embedded Partner since 2002 and started doing Windows Embedded platform development in 1999.
Linux and Android Exploration
At the same time we started exploring the potentialities of Linux and Android OS in embedded systems, and the quick growth of a new class of low-cost and powerful embedded CPUs and RTOS.
Supporting Transitions
After Microsoft's dismissal of Windows Embedded, we continued supporting our customers and helped their transition to modern operating systems.
Current Focus
Now we are focused mostly on Linux kernel and OS-level development, and multi-platform application software written in modern C++.
Meanwhile we continue adapting MarkDCS to modern standards, enhancing security, reliability and flexibility.
